Jill Tolhurst is the Yoga instructor here at Life Essence Natural Therapies and Counselling Centre. Jill has been practising yoga for 16 years and teaching for 6 years. She is a qualified yoga teacher whose qualifications include-

  • British School of Yoga
  • Radiant Light Yoga
  • Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (Chennai, India)

About Yoga

The essence of Yoga is to develop a personal practise that allows individuals to remove imbalances in the body providing an opportunity for healing and growth.

Progress on the path of yoga means different things to different people. Transformation occurs through the intelligent application of yoga asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing), so goals are achieved step by step.

Therapeutic Yoga

Therapeutic Yoga is an individual yoga practise developed to suit the needs of those:

  • Concern about weight
  • Limited by poor mobility or flexibility

Yoga classes are held every Wednesday night, 7pm - 8.30pm. The classes are appropriate for people of all ages, and levels. Jill also holds Yoga workshops regularly, for more information please call Life Essence.
